Sunny 27th February 2011

I hadn't been involved with holography for too long before I ended up at a conference on the subject up in Boston (I was based in London at the time). Syd came to the meeting to support me, and I was able to introduce her around to my new colleagues. Lots of small talk and pleasantries. After we had chatted to one particular person for a few minutes and then left, she looked me in the eye and said, "I wouldn't trust that guy as far as I could throw him". . If only I'd understood how good her judgment was. It was this man who ended up almost bankrupting the Museum of Holography in New York, which ended up almost bankrupting us when we tried to bail them out.
