I am writing this at the last few minutes before today's gathering for "Mrs. Stanton" and my substitute Mom. You could say, in Syd's words, this remembrance comes just before "deadline." I had the privilege of growing up across the street from the Stantons. That was awesome. There are just too many fond recollections. I had a propensity for breaking limbs in my numerous sports activities. My Mom always seemed to be at work when these accidents happened. Mrs. Stanton to the rescue. She must have taken my to United Hospital (sadly no longer around) four or five times. The Stanton house was a pleasure for we teens to hang around. Mrs. Stanton regaled us with stories about Northwestern. Only because of her Upstate Origin did she "forgive me" when I went to Syracuse. Love, Rick Cohlan
